The Panda Chow Chows TuDou, YüMi and DouDou are three lucky Chow Chows born into the lap of luxury. Born as rare pure white Chow Chows, the trio transformed into three adorable Panda Chow Chows after their owner Meng Jiang decided to give them a little make over in January 2016 in preparation for the Chinese Lunar New Year Celebrations in February. Pandas are important animals in the Chinese culture and are thought to be rare and noble creatures. These gentle animals are a sign of peace and friendship and a symbol for good luck.
The reaction for the Panda Chow Chows has been amazing. When Tudou, YüMi and DouDou visit public places, people who spot them come running across the street to say hello and to give them a cuddle and to take a few photos. TuDou, YüMi and DouDou really love the attention, especially from children. They can truly sense that people love them and find them adorable.
On the 30th January 2016 Jiang took her Panda Chow Chows to Emerald Hill by Orchard road for dinner and did some shopping before hand in Ion Orchard. The only word to describe what happened is “PANDAMONIUM”! Along the walk from Ion to Emerald Hill (the short distance took almost an hour to walk) crowds of 50 -100 people surrounded TuDou, YüMi and DouDou constantly, everyone wanted to stroke them and to take photos with them. As the Panda Chow Chows walked down Orchard road, groups of people would follow behind them to take more photos. It was cuteness overload and people just couldn't get enough. One of the admirers filmed this and posted the video on social media. The video went viral overnight and received hundreds of thousands of views, comments and shares. The Panda Chow Chows have since received massive amounts of international press coverage from major publications globally.
In the past six weeks Panda Chow Chows HQ have received hundreds of emails and social media messages asking when and where the Panda Chow Chows will be for their next outing in Singapore. Messages from fans also commonly asks what time the Panda Chow Chows go for their daily walks around Sentosa Cove (their home) so they can come and say hi. Unfortunately access cards are required in order to enter Sentosa Cove, making it not possible for fans to come and say hi during their daily walks. Other fans have messaged requesting the Panda Chow Chows to come to their area and community to meet their family and friends.
The Panda Chow Chows really are show stoppers and attract big crowds of people everywhere they go and have also attracted overwhelming amounts of love and support from fans globally. It is safe to say that the Panda Chow Chows TuDou, YüMi and DouDou have officially become the most talked about and the most famous dogs in Singapore!
All our love,
Panda Chow Chows HQ x
